Baie Eternitie

An increasingly deafening roar wakes us up. Through the windows we see the water clouds advancing towards us. It looks like a giant lobster floundering on the surface ... it's the Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft Mamilossa. It slowed down as it came closer to the mooring field.

On the other side of the bay, a large beautiful sailboat was on its side trapped by the low water. People are working around him without being able to release it.

The early morning is going lazily. I inflated the kayak as Daniele prepared breakfast. Our hiking plans are compromised by the rain that falls on us. A nap is a must!

We want to keep the mooring for another night. After a few calls to reserve the mooring for another day, another boat hailed us at 15:00 saying that he reserved they mooring ball at 15:00.

We called again and eventually got through and they assigned us to mooring number 6. That's great until the other boat informs us that the number 6 buoy is the same one that caused the grounding of the boat this morning.

We called back but they did not answer the phone.

Back to Tadoussac we go.  We were worn and looked forward to spending some time in the Sorel islands, swimming and laying around.
