July 13, 2016 - Quebec City

Daniele did not sleep well with a stomach ache bothered all night and woke up with a strong headache.

8:30 we had a bowl of cereal. Most of the boat neighbors have already left,

Our scheduled departure for Quebec was at noon to arrive at low tide in Quebec City. However, there's a good wind on the river we decided to leave earlier around 10:00 to do a little sailing to get a head start.  Coming out of the river, it was dead calm. We motored. Eventually, the wind picks up and we hoist the sails.  After some time the wind dies. Three times the wind will make us hoist the sails.

The VHF was continually warning us of storms and squalls over a very large area from Cornwall to almost Quebec City.  A little un-nerving, but nothing really happened and the storms never developed for us.

As we approached Pierre Laporte Bridge, we passed a small boat motoring much slower than us.  We would later meet her at QYC.

The Quebec City yacht club saw our arrival around 19:00.

On the VHF, we were assigned a dock on Platoon A.  The passage was narrow and I had to maneuver carefully.  Not knowing too much about which side of the dock we were on, we are first committed to the wrong side, I had to backtrack and return to the east side of the dock to finally to dock right next to another Mirage 33!  Fortunately, a nearby boater gives us a hand because it was pretty tight.
